Bluesky

Bluesky is a “microblogging” social media site, like a mix of Facebook and Twitter. Like Substack, Bluesky has attracted a lot of former Facebook users. One of the challenges is that Bluesky currently has no way to support groups like Facebook does.

Substack

Substack is a fairly new (circa 2017) media platform that has recently attracted a lot of Facebook refugees. Posts are generally substantive (i.e., articles or links to other), many written by respected journalists. In addition to written posts, many journalists and writers host livestream sessions.
